Zuke’s Helps Pet Owners Fight Cancer in Dogs, Cats – #FueltheLove – You Can Help Without Spending a Dime

Sadly, cancer is one of the leading causes of death in dogs and cats. The National Canine Cancer Foundation has set aside the entire month of November to educate pet parents about the causes, effects, and treatments of this terrible disease.

Zuke’s Performance Pet Nutrition just announced a social media campaign titled “Fuel the Love to Fuel the Cureto help support The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund (DCCFund); a non-profit organization dedicated to understanding, treating and preventing canine and feline cancer.

Here’s where you can help!  We invite  Zuke’s fans to share photos and videos of their dogs in action and loving life. For every person who follows @ZukesPets on Instagram or Twitter and tags their action-packed photo or video with #FueltheLove, Zuke’s will donate $5 to The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund up to $10,000. With six million dogs and a similar number of cats diagnosed with cancer each year in the United States, this campaign will help the DCCFund provide the much-needed financial assistance to pet parents whose dogs and cats are suffering from cancer.

“Zuke’s already donates a portion of all product sales to the Dog and Cat Cancer Fund (DCCFund),” states Chris Meiering, Zuke’s Director of Marketing and co-founder of the DCCFund. “We hope that by engaging our consumers in this effort, we emphasize the importance of this cause and underscore the devotion we have to all pets”. The “Fuel the Love to Fuel the Cure” campaign is one element of the Zuke’s brand’s commitment to helping dogs and cats stay healthy and active.

The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund is dedicated to understanding, treating and preventing canine and feline cancer. The nonprofit organization helps make cancer treatment affordable for qualified individuals and families through treatment grants. It also funds research grants for the next generation of life-saving treatments and promotes prevention by raising awareness and understanding of the risk factors underlying canine and feline cancer. After helping its first dog in 2007, the organization has directly helped more than 250 animals. The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund is supported by donations from individuals, corporations and government grants.

I didn’t even know they had anything like this. I think it is wonderful that they donate money to this cause.
